NC their son? David married Nancy NELSON of Pitt Co. NC. They moved to Smith/Sumner Co. , Tenn. around 1796. Looking for information on the VENTERS of NC. I am trying to find out about the first Pearce in my husband's family. He is listed as Lazaraus Pearce of Jones Co, NC. That's all I have on him. His son Joseph Pearce (b. 1791) m. Elizabeth Harrison (1804-1835), daughter of Simmons Harrison and Holland Speight. I would love to find anyone who can help me research the Pearce's. I am looking for family history reguarding DANIEL JEFFERSON BASDEN his father was CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS BASDEN. That is as far back as family records go. He was married to JOHNNIE MAE BASDEN and they had two children DAN KENDALL BASDEN and OLLIE MAE BASDEN. They lived in the Hargette's Crossroads of Jones County. DAN BASDEN is now 60 allof the other family members are deceased.

) was born in VA, married Elizabeth Simmons (daughter of Mercy A. Pabodie & John Simmons) and served in Capt. Mason's Co, 7th Reg. NC Troops during the Rev. War. Harrison died in Jones Co., NC. Among children: Simmons Harrison m. Holland Speight. Among children: Elizabeth Harrison (1804-1835) m. Joseph Pearce. Joseph was the son of Lazarus Pearce of Jones Co., NC. Would love any info on families of any of these people.

I am searching for the parents of my ancestor, JOHN LAFON, who was born in NC in 1775. I suspect he may have been a Huguenot who relocated from Manakintown VA settlement to the area around the Neuse and Trents Rivers. Any info about him or the settlements would be greatly appreciated.

My grandfather's name was Lloyd SCOTT. His father's name was Lemule SCOTT or Lem to some people. His father's name was Henry SCOTT.  They lived in Jones, Green and Lenoir Counties. I would love info on the SCOTTs.

Re: ASKEW, BYNUM, COSTON, FREEMAN Would like to exchange information concerning the above surnames in Jones County. Amos William ASKEW was born ca June 1864, married ca 1894, and died ca Aug. 1939. I have been unable to verify any of that info with the state or county. He was supposedly born while his father was serving in the Civil War. His father, also Amos William ASKEW, was killed in the war at about the same time. I also do not have proof of that. Kitty Viola FREEMAN was born 22 Jan 1875, according to her death certificate. Amos and Kitty had 11 children, and I believe eight of them are still living in Jones or Onslow Counties. If anyone is working on these lines I would love to hear from them and exchange info. I am trying to locate records on George (d. 1824) and June (d. 1826) STEPHENS who were born in NC and moved to Jasper Co., GA. There is a George STEPHENS listed in the 1790 census for Jones Co., NC, but I need more documentation to establish this as my family. They had at least one son, named Stephen STEPHENS, who married Mary Barrow. Does anyone descend from this family who can help me establish them in Jones Co., or elsewhere in NC in the mid- to late- 1700's? Thank you, Greg Young

EUBANK. Elijah - Any info? In Jones Co. 1790,1800, gone by 1810. Probably owned land. I have some of his family since he moved to Tennessee(1806) but need proof of children. He became a member of the Core Sound Monthly Meeting (Friends)in 1784 along with Daniel and Alsey Eubank. How do they fit together? Where did they come from?
