Do you know the address of this place? Is it still standing? The description is west of Maysville Jones county NC. I suspect it to be close to the Mundine branch stream that flows north off of the White Oak River, in between Pole Pocosin Rd & Fish Pond Lane. In Jones county, west of Maysville I found this (attachment) on the Jones county historical site www.co.jones.nc.us/christhome.htm The home once belong to Eugenia OLDFIELD (died 1939) daughter of Richard & Rebecca Oldfield. Eugenia was the granddaughter of Richard, Sr. Oldfield. Richard Oldfield bought this place in 1797 & on the deed it shows this land once belong to Kittrell MUNDINE. On the deed it shows John CHAPMAN, FRAZER (Micajah) Branch & John ROBERTS, deeded by Charles MUNDINE (son of Kittrell). I believe this to be the same land that Kittrell MUNDINE once owned on White Oak River. Is there a cemetery in this area?? The original deed was over 700 acres so this is a large area. Information about Eugenia Eugenia Oldfield died an unmarried woman on Christmas 1939, White Oak district Jones county NC. 1850 census shows household # 114 -Rigdon HEWITT & #113 Richard OLDFIELD were neighbors! Eugenia was born March 1854 siblings Octavia & Columbia 1900 White oak dist Jones Co., NC census Eugenia is 46 & head of household ---only 1 herself 1910 census Eugenia is listed as Jennie age 56 & Mary HOWARD (orphan) age 19 is living with her 1920 census Jennie Oldfield age 65-- Mary & Ben GODING are living with her (Mary has married) I don't find her on the 1930 census Her death record is in Book 14 page 75 says she died Dec 25,1939 Email direct at:
