I William Pollock Sheriff of Jones County attended by the following jury of
good and ? men viz James Lovett, William Mondine, Thomas S. Gillett, Redding
Scott, Amos Askew, William Binum, Elijah Lovett, Micajah F. Mattick, George
H. Meados, Rigdon P. Hewitt, Bartholomew W. Meados, George P. Young, who after
being duly sworn acording to proceeds on the 8th day of FebruaryA.D. 1835 in
obedience to the annexee court to lay off and allot to Rachel Eubank her dower
and ? in the land of Asa Eubank, deceased as ? in the said court according to
the following metes and land beginning at the corner of the said Asa Eubank
land at a stake near the Bars? and Puns? south 40 west 6 poles to a stake in
the yard then north 77 west 19 poles to a stake in the field then south 18
west 107 poles to a crooked ? sweet gum on the swamp around and with the fence
outside 51 east 41 poles with the fence North 84 East 8 poles then North 11
East 46 poles North 69 West 16 poles North 32 East 12 poles North 18 East 69
poles to the north side of the lane and with ? ? to the beginning containing
27 Acres more or less together with the privilege of woodling land for Repairs?
and fine wood feeding stock on said land.
And that road used in going to and returning from said premises shall be kept
open and proceeds also to put her in possession of the same.
Given under the hands and seals of the said jurors before me this 8th day of
February A.D. 1855
