Wm. White Senr. purchased land on the N. side of the Trent River in Jones Co., near border with Lenoir Co., in Feb. of 1779. Who were his parents? What White family members lived in Jones Co. about this time until 1835--except for one Geo. White of 1790? Any now living descendants? Email direct at:

Enos Harrell was the minor child of David Harrell. David died before the year 1784, possibly in the revolution. David had bonded his friend Kader Knight to sell land back to the minor son, Enos. Apparently the land had originally been sold to Kader Knight. They all lived near Mill Creek, not so far from the Trent river, in Jones cty. When Enos got older he married Asenath, also called Sena, Lee. Asenath Lee was the daughter of John Burton Lee and the granddaughter of "old" John Lee. They were related in some way to Reasonovers, Pollocks, Whitty's, Foys, and so forth. There was a Thomas Lee who lived there and was likely Asenath Lee's uncle or great uncle. He gave land around this time, for a church in the area. Surely there is someone researching one of these families? Email direct at:

I am researching: 1. Aisley/Ansley McMahon born 1790 in Jones Co. He married Susan (Susannah) Little in 1820. 2.Daniel McMahon who married Eleanor Farmer in 1778. I do not know if they are brothers, father/son or even related to each other. I am interested in Ansley and Daniel's parents. Both families lived near Franklin Tennessee. Daniel served in the Revolutionary War. Email direct at:
